They also want collaboration from all stakeholders to enforce various worldwide contracts, including the "Principle of Partnership" of the United Nations, "Charter for Change (C4C)" and "Grand Bargain Agreement."

The Coastal Association for Social Transformation (COAST) — an NGO with a special consultative status from the United Nations — came up with a call today at a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club's VIP lounge in Dhaka.

Program speakers also said they will organize a national convention in the capital on Saturday, July 6, attended by about seven hundred representatives of NGOs from across the country.

"These agreements were signed by the INGOs, but very little of those agreements were implemented," said Mustafa Kamal Akanda, assistant director of COAST at the press conference.

Humanity and equal cooperation between local and international NGOs are the pillars of these worldwide contracts, ensuring the management position of local NGOs for transparency and accountability, speakers said.

As part of their campaign across the nation, COAST has also organized workshops in all divisional towns over the past two years.

Organizers also reported that the upcoming national convention will launch a platform called "Bangladesh CSO and NGO Coordination Process."

The National Convention will include renowned economist Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, UN Resident Coordinator in Bangladesh Mia Seppo, and former Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman.
